INGREDIENTS (Serves 8):
- 1 Tbs. Jake’s Seasoning
- 3 Tbs. butter
- 3 Tbs. all-purpose flour
- 5-6 medium potatoes, peeled and thin sliced
- ½ Cup onion, chopped
- 2 Cups, 2% milk
METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven preheats, prepare a greased 2-quart baking dish. Melt the butter in a large pan over low heat. Combine the flour and Jake's Seasoning then add to the butter, stirring until smooth. Gradually add in the milk and bring to a boil. Cook and continuously stir for around 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove sauce from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Add sliced potatoes and chopped onion into the pan.
Transfer the sauce with potatoes and onion into the baking dish, cover and bake for 1-hour. Uncover the dish and bake for another 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Top dish with additional Jake's Seasoning to taste and ENJOY!
